Fontaine de Bâle scarf by Jean Tinguely

Silk scarf, Fontaine du Carnaval pattern designed by Swiss artist Jean Tinguely. Illustration of eponymous work from 1977, in Basel.

The story behind

This scarf was first created by the artist Jean Tinguely and inspired by his Fountain in Basel (Switzerland). The Tinguely Fountain, 1977, is located in the area formerly occupied by the municipal theater and has since become one of Basel's landmarks. It's a playful construction of animated mechanical sculptures in the middle of a pool.

The scarf can be worn in many ways - draped around your neck, as a top, at the waist or as a headscarf!
