The story behind
For Niki de Saint Phalle, snakes were always an animal that she was afraid of, bith scary and sexy. The artist said herself that they represent «life itself, a primitive untamable force». Her fascination with snakes is visible within her work from her perfume bottles, jewelry, sculptures as well as furniture.
